Our story
Public Life is on a mission to unlock the nation's hidden entrepreneurs: the people living a social challenge who have the best ideas for solving it and the least ability to act on them.
James Green founded Public Life after twenty years in youth work, Parliament and social housing. In every one of those places he saw the same thing: good ideas sitting with people who lacked the time, the financial security and the networks to get them in front of the institutions that could back them. Citizen First is what he built to change that: a model developed with communities over seven years, and now independently evaluated twice.
The ambition is simple. Citizen First should run in every town and city in the country.
